Are you your own worst enemy?

Maybe you are and you don’t even know it.

The thing is, sometimes we speak to ourselves in ways that we would never do to others.

Often we’re not even conscious of it.

We know how to be kind to others

When we were kids we learned quickly that it’s not okay to call someone names or to say unkind things to others.

As adults being nice to others comes naturally.

In fact, we’re so caught up in being kind and polite that we tend to say things we don’t mean all the time –– even to people we don’t know. That’s because we hate to offend or hurt.

So why are we so different when it comes to ourselves?

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • I’m not who I used to be
  • I don’t like who I am
  • I’m not very good at that
  • I don’t think I’m going to be able to do that task
  • Why did they pick me?
  • I don’t look very nice
  • This isn’t going to work out
