Going vegan was the best decision of my life

Last year I turned thirty. Looking back, there are so many things I would tell my younger self: don’t worry about what others think; you can do, be, or have anything you want; you create your own reality, and no matter how many dreams you achieve––happiness is an inside job.

There is a bigger piece of advice though, one that trumps everything else.

Life has never been better

If I could give just one piece of advice to every person on the planet: I’d say go vegan.

Deciding to go vegan was easily the boldest, brightest, and best decision I’ve ever made. But let me explain why.

There’s a stereotype that vegans are unhappy, nutrient deficient and that they hate non-vegans. None of these things is true for me, nor the many people I’ve interviewed on my podcast.

I’m healthier, happier, more inspired, and aligned than I’ve ever been in my life and I’ve been able to cultivate compassion for every living being on the planet.

I’m in the best shape and health ever

I eat a whole-food plant-based diet, the diet associated with the longest-lived people on the planet. There’s plenty of evidence to show a whole-food plant-based diet is healthful.
