I Tried Tony Robbins’ Epic Morning Routine… Now I’m Hooked

At first, I thought it was a little crazy.

Thrusting your hands into the air ninety times.

Sending love to everyone on the planet.

Jumping into ice-cold water.

It sounds like something hyper-intense people who can’t relax do to burn off energy.

And let’s be real –– Tony is pretty full-on.

But Tony’s morning routine gets you feeling good

Scepticism aside, I decided to give it a go.

After doing the morning primer just once I noticed a change.

Here’s where I started

My typical morning routine involves rising early, going for a walk in my local park, and watching the sunrise. Once I return to my apartment, I’m straight into the day –– shower, morning smoothie, emails, work.

Something that’s been missing is an opportunity to set an intention for the day.

And while I’ve meditated sporadically in the mornings, I find that I’m more consistent with afternoon meditations.

The only problem is that the day’s already well underway. The dominant thoughts for the day have been created… on auto-pilot.

Tony’s morning primer changes all that.

Starting your day right

I’m now hooked.

Tony’s morning routine involves a series of practices focused on gratitude, feeling good, and setting intentions.

The steps work roughly as follows:

1. Change your physical state

Moving your body physically can change your mental state. This step involves thrusting your arms into the air like you just don’t care… well not quite. It’s more intense than that, and you repeat this step ninety times (in sets of thirty).

2. Practice gratitude

Think of three moments in your life that you’re truly grateful for. Imagine them as if you were there now. Really feel the…
