We are just a spec in the universe
As one of 8 billion people, you are a mere pin-drop on this planet, which is a mere pin-drop on the universe.
The earth could fit inside the sun 1.3 million times, and our sun is just one of 100 to 400 billion stars in our galaxy. Our galaxy is just one of 100 billion galaxies.
That’s in the known universe alone.
Our surroundings exist on a scale that the human brain can barely comprehend.
In the words of Stephen Hawking…
It is clear that we are just an advanced breed of primates on a minor planet orbiting around a very average star, in the outer suburb of one among a hundred billion galaxies.
To think that we have things figured out seems laughable when you consider all that we cannot see, nor know.
Humans are in their infancy
As humans, we are likely young. Even the smartest among us will likely seem infantile to those who come after us.
