Every year people fly thousands of miles around the globe.

They travel to far-flung places –– ashrams in India, remote cabins in Nepal, retreats in Bali and Sri Lanka.

They’re all searching for the same thing.

A lasting sense of inner peace.

Reprieve from their worries.

Stillness. Calm.

Ultimately, they're searching for enlightenment.

But they say you don’t need to go to India to become enlightened.

So if not India, then where?

Enlightenment isn’t a place you need to go to

The more I read about this elusive state, the more I see that all teachings seem to point to the same thing.

There’s nowhere we need to go but within ourselves.

How will you become free? With a quiet mind Come into that empty house, your heart, And feel the joy of the way Beyond the world. Look within — The rising and the falling. — Gautama Buddha
